In My Own Words - Why I Started Writing Here

March 30, 20262 min read

I've spent 28 years building things. Systems. Teams. Frameworks. Careers, mine and other people's.

And honestly, I'm tired of always using the most politically correct framing to avoid conflict. Not that I'm always looking for a fight, but sometimes the fight comes to me, and I've filtered my narrative to make people comfortable. But this space is mine, and I don't have to write with a filter. If you can't handle radical candor and what sounds like contrarian views, this is not the blog for you.

Most of what I know came from being thrown into situations where failure wasn't an option and figuring it out anyway. Leading through acquisitions, nobody had a playbook for. Building authority in a field that didn't know what to do with me. Rising from retail manager at 17 to executive leadership without a degree, proving at every step that experience and results trump credentials.

I've had a lot of thoughts along the way. Some I kept to myself. Some I shared in boardrooms, on stages, in classrooms across seven countries, and in the book, I finally stopped procrastinating and wrote. This blog is where I will add my unfiltered thoughts as they evolve. Some call it contrarian. I call it radical candor. I see between the lines, and I act on it.

What I Write About

Leadership. Not the soft-focus, feel-good kind. The kind that actually works when you're managing 100 people across three continents through two acquisitions, and everyone is watching to see if you'll fold.

AI search and authority. How AI decides who gets trusted and who gets ignored. Why your 15 years of expertise might be invisible to the very systems your prospects use to vet you. And what to do about it.

Systems thinking. The lens I use for everything, from building offers to reconstructing fragmented online identities to designing the kind of leadership bench that doesn't fall apart under pressure.

And whatever else is on my mind.

What This Isn't

This isn't a content marketing exercise. I'm not here to post five tips and a call to action three times a week. I write when I have something worth saying. Some posts will be short. Some will be long. All of them will be mine, and I welcome your thoughts and feedback so we can continue to learn and grow together.
